The New Cairo Court compels “Capital Contracting” to compensate an worker with 314,411 EGP for being arbitrary dismissed

The New Cairo Labor full Court ruled in labor lawsuit No. 2368 of 2021 filed by the worker “Walid.S” against Capital Contracting General Company. The court obliged the company to compensate him with 314,411 EGP for his arbitrary dismissal, notice period, unused leave balance, and any unpaid portion of his monthly salary.

The lawsuit dates back to the worker joining the company in May 2017, where he served as an administrative manager and progressed in salary until it reached 17,500 pounds. In December 2019, he transferred to work at Capital Master Base Company for Engineering Consultations.

In November 2021, the worker was arbitrarily dismissed and prevented from entering the workplace or clocking in without justification. This prompted him to file a complaint with the labor office, and after the failure of an amicable settlement, the case was referred to the New Cairo Court of First Instance.

After reviewing the lawsuit, the court issued its decision accepting all the employee’s demands, including compensation for arbitrary dismissal, compensation for material and moral damages, and securing all his financial dues.
