The Egyptian Center receives a ruling against Al Mokhtabar laboratories to compensate a Chemist with EGP 75000 due to arbitrary dismissing him

The Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights obtains a labor ruling with a compensation amounted EGP 74857 to a a Chemist working at Al Mokhtabar laboratories, in Labor Case No.1233 of 2022 South Giza Full Labor Court, which were referred from Mit Ghamr Full Court against Al Mokhtabar providing Medical diagnostic services, after being arbitrary dismissed from his work.
On October 26, 2022, the Ruling’s Grounds issued by Labor, Circuit No.2, South Giza Court, explained that the defendant had asked for a settlement for the legal dispute in a peaceful way, through the Directorate of Manpower and Immigration in Dakahlia Governorate, and the settlement was impossible.
The request had been referred to Mit Ghamr Labor Court. Then the Company contested the Court due to lack of jurisdiction of the Court, which in turn referred the lawsuit to South Giza Court. The Ruling indicated that the (plaintiff) had been working at the Company (the defendant) from 13 years as a physician, and he was banned from entering his workplace on December 26, 2020, in a violation to law.
The lawsuit was deliberated in the Court through the lawyers of the Egyptian Center. Then the Court issued its ruling by obliging the defendant to pay a compensation amounted EGP 50000 for the moral and financial damages occurred to the plaintiff after being arbitrary dismissed, together with EGP 5016 in return for the period of notice, EGP 18392 for the amount of the cash equivalent for the balance of regular unused leave credits, and EGP 1449 as the plaintiff’s wage from December 1 to 26, 2020.
