On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights entered into a collaboration agreement with the Egyptian Federation of Independent Trade Unions and the Professional Syndicate of Tourism Workers in Cairo. The objective of this partnership is to strengthen trade union activities and enhance labor rights across Egypt.
This collaboration reflects the Egyptian Center’s dedication to offering legal and technical expertise to bolster the role of trade unions in society and to support the enforcement of workers’ and unionists’ rights in line with the Egyptian Constitution, local laws, and international conventions.
The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including the provision of legal services by the Egyptian Center to the federation and the tourism workers’ syndicate. These services will encompass court representation, legal advice, and the review of contracts and agreements.
Furthermore, the Egyptian Center will represent the federation and the tourism workers’ syndicate before governmental bodies and both public and private organizations to safeguard and promote their interests.
