The Supreme State Security Prosecution has ordered the release of Abdelaziz Ramadan Ali pending investigations in Case No. 3434 of 2024 (Supreme State Security). He has since returned to his residence following the completion of all necessary procedures for the implementation of the release order.
Security forces had arrested the released defendant, along with others, in July 2024 in connection with social media posts concerning the surge in prices and the deterioration of living conditions. The prosecution charged them with joining a banned organization, disseminating false news, and misusing social media platforms.
Other defendants in the same case include Mohamed Awad Abdelaziz, Islam Mahmoud Abdelaziz, and Tamer Mouwad Eid, all of whom were also released during October 2025. The release orders were executed by their respective police stations in the governorates of Alexandria, Aswan, and Beheira.
