Court Orders “B.Tech” to Pay EGP 153,000 in Compensation to an Arbitrarily Dismissed Employee

The Egyptian Center has obtained a ruling from the New Cairo Primary Court ordering B.Tech for Trading to compensate Abou Bakr M., an employee of the company, in the amount of EGP 153,000 for his arbitrary dismissal, as well as for the notice period and his accrued leave balance.
The case, filed by the Center on behalf of the employee, dates back to June 2025, when he was unexpectedly prevented from entering his workplace. The company’s security personnel refused to admit him without providing any lawful justification, in violation of the provisions of the Labor Law.
Following this incident, the employee proceeded to the police station, where he filed an official report documenting the fact that he had been denied entry to his workplace. He also submitted a complaint to the New Cairo Labor Office.
After attempts at amicable settlement failed, the employee requested that the complaint be referred to the competent labor court for adjudication. The case was duly registered before the New Cairo Primary Court, which, after deliberations, issued its judgment on 27 October 2025, ordering the company to compensate the employee for his arbitrary dismissal, the notice period, and his accrued leave entitlement.
