On May 23, 2018 ECESR lawyer filed its first case before the labor court after the issuance of the new labor code No. 213 year 2018, on behalf of Ashraf Helmi who works at the Egyptian National Railways, as Ashraf submitted all required documents to register as a candidate at the Trade unions elections in 2018, yet his name has been excluded from the candidate list without providing a reason.<\/p>\n
Ashraf submitting a grievance (No. 462) to the committee but receives no answer, as a result he sought ECESR for legal representation to halt the elections of the trade union (committee No. 9) of the Egyptian Railway Committee until the court decide to include the worker in the lists of candidates for the membership of the Committee in the trade union elections in 2018. The case has been postponed to September 20, 2018.<\/p>\n
